For our future fabin Dresden, we are looking for a highly motivated and committed:Principal Process Engineer (m/f/d) As a Principal Process Engineer,you will independently perform advanced optimization andtroubleshooting for critical semiconductor manufacturing processes,focusing on yield improvement and defect reduction.

You will analyzecomplex technical problems and implement solutions to enhance processperformance and efficiency. As part of this position, you will havethe unique opportunity to complete a comprehensive up to 9-monthtraining assignment at our mother fab in Taiwan. This immersiveprogram equips you with deep hands-on expertise in manufacturingprocesses, systems, production operations, and governance according toTSMCs word-leading practice — providing the foundation to operateindependently and at expert level upon your return to Germany.

Thetraining will start shortly after the start date. Tasks Support TeamOperational Management: The role assists department supervisors inmanaging the process engineering team by formulating structured workplans, assigning tasks, and establishing training programs. Serving asthe backup section manager, supporting operational continuity andmaintains an engineering team meeting the company’s productiondemands.

Process Troubleshooting and Yield Optimization: To maintainproduction stability, this position is responsible for analyzing,resolving, and preventing major process anomalies. The lead developsengineering solutions for complex challenges affecting product yield,reliability, and cost-of-ownership. By coordinating multi-disciplinaryresources, they ensure module-specific issues are resolved andpreventive actions are fully executed.

Technology Node Development andMaterial Qualification: The lead drives the evaluation, selection, andqualification of new materials and manufacturing components to supportfuture technology nodes. They propose strategic enhancements forprocess technologies to maintain competitiveness, conducting technicalevaluations to safely integrate advanced materials into existingmanufacturing flows. Vendor Management and Technical Interface:Serving as the primary technical interface with external material andequipment vendors, the lead negotiates material specifications, drivesperformance improvements, and leads technical exchanges.

Thiscollaboration ensures that incoming materials consistently meet thestrict requirements of advanced manufacturing technologies.Compliance, Standardization, and Decision Support: The lead overseesthe implementation of process standards to guarantee compliance withquality, safety, and environmental regulations. They collaborate withdepartment managers, translating complex engineering data intoprofessional technical reports.

These assessments provide criticaldecision-making support for executive leadership regarding processmodifications and strategic investments. Profile Bachelor degree andabove with many years of experience (Master is preferred) ; Major inElectrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, MechanicalEngineering, Physics/ Applied Physics, Automation Technology / ControlSystems Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, IndustrialEngineering Above experience should be in office or manufacturing workenvironment.

Semiconductor work experiences will be a plus Availablefor "on-the-job" Training in Taiwan for up to 9 months. Professionalproficiency in English is required; German language capability ishighly advantageous.
