About the Role

The Portfolio Lead is responsible for governing and orchestrating the organization's project and product portfolio, ensuring alignment with strategic business priorities, financial targets, and operational capabilities. The role drives end-to-end portfolio visibility, prioritization, and value realization across cross-functional initiatives.

This is your new role

- Maintain a single source of truth for the full portfolio
- Drive portfolio prioritization aligned with strategic objectives and resource constraints
- Track delivery progress, risks, dependencies, and financial performance; enforce scope and budget guardrails across programs
- Establish project management methodology, tools, templates, and stage-gate processes to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery across all initiatives
- Establish governance frameworks, decision boards, and executive dashboards for fact-based decision-making
- Guide and support Project Managers to strengthen forecasting, risk management, and stakeholder communication, raising delivery discipline across the team
- Partner with senior stakeholders across the business and digitalization domains to ensure strategy is translated into measurable and trackable outcomes
- Challenge low-value initiatives, reallocate resources, and manage cross-program dependencies and escalations
- Enable transparency through portfolio dashboards and executive reporting
- Orchestrate cross-program dependencies and escalation management
- Drive continuous improvement of portfolio management practices and tools


This is you

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in portfolio and project management in digitalization initiatives with strong portfolio and program governance expertise
- Proven experience managing cross-functional portfolios
- Experience in manufacturing, semiconductor, or complex global environments preferred
- Stakeholder management at senior leadership level
- Financial acumen (business cases, ROI tracking, cost control)
- Data-driven decision-making and reporting (e.g., portfolio dashboards)
- Experience with Agile and hybrid delivery models
- Knowledge of enterprise architecture and IT delivery frameworks
- Exposure to ESG, compliance, and regulatory-driven programs
- Risk and dependency management in complex environments
- Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, project portfolio management systems
- Fluency in English (oral and written), German language is highly beneficial
- Strategic thinking and prioritization and ability to operate in ambiguity and drive alignment
- Strong communication, influencing, and facilitation skills
