#WeAreIn forjobs that impact everyone's life.Bridging needs with innovation – where customer challenges become our next big idea.As a Senior Staff Engineer System Application Engineering Acoustics (f/m/div) in our Customer Collaboration and Technical Marketingteam work hand-in-hand with our customers, enabling them to transform ourproducts into cutting-edge designs, all while building long-lastingpartnerships that thrive on success.Are you in?Your roleKey responsibilities in your new role- Own the design, development and testof state-of-the-art audio hardware solutions including selection anddesign-in of e.g. microcontroller, DSP, CODEC, speaker amplifier- Lead PCB design for audio-focused hardware systems mastering signal integrity, power delivery, and EMI/EMCcompliance for acoustic applications- Develop and maintain embedded firmware foraudio DSP and microcontroller platforms, including driverdevelopment, codec configuration, and real-time audio processing pipelines- Plan and conduct system-level acousticcharacterization and debugging using measurement equipment and application specific lab setups- Work closely with cross-functional teams including mechanical, software, and product teams to define system requirements, support design reviews, and ensure seamlessintegration of our products into demonstrators, evaluation kits and referencedesignsYour profileQualifications and skills to help you succeed- A technical degree in Electrical Engineering, EmbeddedDevelopment, Acoustics, or similar- At least 5 years of work experience in ApplicationEngineering, R&D or Technical Marketing- Solid understanding of acoustic systemdesign principles including microphone fundamentals, audio signalchain architectures and audio codec/DSP integration- Hands-on experience in PCB design using tools such as Altium Designer, KiCad, or OrCAD, withknowledge of high-speed/mixed-signal layout best practices relevant to audioand acoustic circuits- Experience working within structuredhardware development processes including design requirement documentation, schematic/layout review, design verification testing (DVT), and cross-platformsystem integration- Proficiency in embedded firmware development using C/C++ on platforms such as ARM Cortex-M, with experience in communication and audio specific bus interfaces (I2C, SPI, PDM, I2S, TDM) and implementing real-time audio processing algorithms- Familiarity with acoustic measurement and analysis tools such as Audio Precision (APx) or equivalent,along with experience interpreting acoustic metrics- Fluent English skills (written andspoken), German is a plus#WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.As a global leader in semiconductor solutions in power systems and IoT, Infineon enables game-changing solutions for green and efficient energy, clean and safe mobility, as well as smart and secure IoT.
