Job overview
The Legal & Compliance Officer / Specialist serves as a trusted business partner to management and internal stakeholders, providing legal guidance and ensuring that business activities are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, industry standards and internal policies. The role supports the development of a strong governance and compliance culture while enabling sustainable business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day legal and compliance advice to executive management and all functions (Production, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, HR, Commercial and Business Development, Finance, etc.);
- Draft, review and support the negotiation of commercial agreements, including NDAs, licensing, supply, distribution, developing, service and manufacturing agreements and other legal documents;
- Monitor applicable laws, regulations and industry standards, assessing their impact on the company’s business activities;
- Develop, implement and continuously improve legal, compliance and corporate governance policies and procedures and internal controls;
- Ensure compliance with applicable pharmaceutical and healthcare regulations, including pharmaceutical advertising, interactions with healthcare professionals and healthcare organisations, anti-bribery and anti-corruption requirements, data protection regulations and relevant industry codes.
- Develop and execute compliance monitoring activities, compliance audits and risk assessments, ensuring appropriate corrective and preventive actions where required;
- Promote a strong culture of integrity and compliance through training, communication and awareness initiatives across the organization;
- Manage intellectual property matters, legal documentation systems and contract lifecycle management;
- Coordinate litigation, disputes and external legal counsel as required and act as the primary interface to the Holding’s Legal & Compliance function.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree in Law or equivalent legal qualification
- 4-5 years of professional experience in Legal and Compliance within the pharmaceutical, healthcare or another highly regulated industry
- Solid understanding of pharmaceutical regulations, healthcare compliance requirements, data protection laws and corporate governance principles
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to provide pragmatic, solution-oriented legal advice while effectively managing legal and compliance risks
- High level of integrity, independence, sound judgement and professional credibility
- Excellent knowledge of English and German, both written and spoken, Italian is an advantage
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across functions and management levels
- Experience working in an international and cross-functional environment is preferred
