Your Role

Position: Business Development Assistant – Chinese Speaking (all genders) | Dubai, United Arab Emirates | Full-time | Start: as soon as possible

As Business Development Assistant, you will support VAVE's new business process from first client inquiry to project kick-off. Based in Dubai, you will be the bridge between our Chinese-speaking clients and our international design and management teams across Dubai, Germany, and China. You will also form the support team around our management board, keeping information flowing, deadlines visible, and proposals moving.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities- BD & workflow support: Coordinate schedules, track tasks and follow-ups, keep open opportunities transparent, and apply and improve our internal new business workflow.

- Client communication: Serve as first point of contact for Chinese-speaking clients and partners, handling correspondence in Mandarin in coordination with management.
- RFI / RFP support: Maintain company credentials, references and certificates for fast RFI turnaround; prepare, format and assemble proposal documents while tracking submission requirements and deadlines.
- Translation & localisation: Adapt proposals, presentations and correspondence between Chinese and English with accuracy and the right tone.
- CRM & reporting: Keep client and supplier records, activity logs and contact data accurate; support debriefs, new business evaluations and executive summaries for the board.
- Meetings, travel & cross-office coordination: Manage schedules, document results and action items, support client visits, trips and events, and liaise between our Dubai, Germany and China teams across time zones.

Qualifications and Skills

What You Bring- Native Mandarin Chinese and confident business English with clear, professional writing in both. Knowledge of German or Arabic is a plus.

- University degree in business, marketing, communication, cultural studies or a related field
- 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales support, project coordination or client service (creative consultancy, design or architecture is a plus)
- Exceptional organisation and attention to detail in documents, data, and formatting
- Confident with Keynote, PowerPoint and MS Suite, and quick to adopt new AI tools and workflows
- Solid grasp of Chinese business culture and etiquette, with the confidence to represent VAVE to clients and partners
- Proactive, service-minded and discreet with confidential information
- Comfortable working across cultures and time zones
- Open to occasional travel
