We, the BMW Group, offer you an interesting and varied Master’s thesis, focusing on discount planning and optimization.

What awaits you?

Review and structure relevant literature on discount planning and elasticity estimation.

Estimate discount elasticities and formulate a complex real-world optimization problem in the context of discount pricing.

Design a solution approach that scales across a large product portfolio and multiple international markets.

Document your methodology, implementation, and results and contribute to a high-quality thesis and internal project report.

What should you bring?

Studies in Computer Science, Mathematics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related technical fields.

Interest in and initial experience with causal inference, operations research, and machine learning fundamentals.

Advanced knowledge of Python programming and experience with numerical libraries such as NumPy, SciPy, Pyomo, Gurobipy, or TensorFlow.

Strong problem-solving mindset, attention to detail, and collaborative working style in an interdisciplinary team.

Fluent English.
