As a Failure Analysis Engineer, you’ll make avaluable contribution to development projects by not only pinpointing but alsoanalyzing faults through electrical and physical analyses. In this role, youwill be responsible for planning and conducting inspections and analyses ofindividual semiconductors and integrated circuits from Infineon Technologies,working to solve a wide range of technical problems, and actively contributingto the development of new analytical methods.- Perform and document basic to moderately complex failure analysis on semiconductor devices, including customer returns and qualification failures- Conductstandard electrical characterization, fault localization, sample preparation, and physical analysis- Evaluate and interpret analytical results to identify failure mechanisms and root causes- Document findings in the relevant databases and prepare technical reports in English- Define and recommend appropriate next analysis steps in collaboration with experiencedengineers and technical experts- Support troubleshooting and problem-solving activities by providing accurate and timely analysis resultsYour profileQualifications and skills to help you succeed- A degree in electrical engineering, physics, or a related field- First experience of semiconductor technology and good knowledge of electronic circuits and measurement techniques- Recent graduates are welcome to apply, ideally with relevant practical experience gained through internships or working student jobs- Strong communication and presentation skills in English- Willingness to learn new methods and technologies, combined with a quality-consciousmindset and strong teamwork skills- Enjoyment of working in a laboratory- Fluency in English (written and spoken)#WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.As a global leader in semiconductor solutions in power systems and IoT, Infineon enables game-changing solutions for green and efficient energy, clean and safe mobility, as well as smart and secure IoT.
