Aircraft Test Engineer (d/f/m) AIRBUS

Are you ready to start your career as an Aircraft Test Engineer (d/f/m)? This role works directly with state-of-the-art aviation systems. Located in Finkenwerder, you'll join a team tasked with providing Ground Test Instructions (GTIs) and Re-Test Instructions (RTIs) for the A320 family, across sites in Hamburg, Tianjin, and Alabama. Your efforts will directly support progress in the aerospace industry, helping ensure that modifications and functional tests are carried out to the highest standards. In a full-time position, you’ll take on a complex role that combines engineering creativity with operational excellence.

- You will plan and develop functional tests, such as GTIs and RTIs, using construction documents and Ground Test Requirements (GTR).

- You will take part in cross-border coordination and assess whether GTR content is feasible.

- You will track modifications and verify their effect on both existing and newly created GTIs.

- You will make sure GTR is fully applied in aircraft-specific GTIs.

- You will give direct assistance during function test execution and resolve issues in aircraft and test systems.

- You will play a key role in developing and enhancing testing tools and facilities.

- You will plan, carry out, and oversee projects aimed at lowering function test costs.

- You will help improve the test system specifications after any aircraft modifications.

- Drawing on your expertise, you will contribute to solving critical issues, including resolutions related to Ground Test Instructions up to Rejected Take-Off (RTO).

The qualifications and skills needed for this position are listed below:

- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable technical discipline.

- Minimum 2-3 years of professional experience in aviation, electronics, engineering, or technical documentation.

- Proficiency with tools such as SAP, Taksy/Gesy/Tesy, and zamiz, as well as familiarity with Google Workspace environments.

- Strong technical knowledge of communication and information systems, with more than three years of experience.

- Fluent in English (advanced working proficiency) and German (proficiency).

- Proven ability to understand and assess complex technical designs and workflows.

- A proactive, organized, and results-driven approach to project management and teamwork.

- Excellent communication skills to work effectively across all levels of an organization.

- Willingness to travel internationally 1-2 times per year and occasionally be available on-call.
