Key responsibilities in your new role

- Lead innovation and development projects in collaboration with multiple departments and international sites- Develop new materials and material systems considering chemical and physical interactions in bulk materials and at interfaces- Conduct patent searches and evaluate the patent landscape while generating Intellectual Property (IP) in the field of semiconductor devices (materials, processes, design, and equipment)- Define material and process requirements based on product needs with respect to functionality, reliability, and cost- Perform risk analyses and assessments based on profound materials science expertise- Independently design, plan, and execute experiments to optimize materials, processes, designs, and their interactions- Analyze, interpret, and evaluate experimental, modeling, and simulation results and derive design rules as well as further development activities

Your profile

Qualifications and skills to help you succeed

- **A completed technical degree** (Master’s or equivalent) in Microsystems Engineering, Materials Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a comparable field- **Experience in statistical experimental design** as well as in the analysis, interpretation, and evaluation of experimental results- **Solid knowledge of assembly processes** as well as the equipment used and its impact parameters on process and product quality- **Strong analytical and structured problem-solving skills** for addressing complex technical challenges- **A high level of initiative**, accountability, and results orientation- **Excellent communication and teamwork skills** for effective collaboration within interdisciplinary and international teams- **Fluent communication skills in German and English**, both written and spoken
