Manufacturing & Supplier Industrialization Engineer (all genders) (Ingenieur/in - Luft- und Raumfahrttechnik)
Über diese Stelle
ABOUT THE ROLEYou make sure that what gets designed can actually be built - on time, at quality, and at the right cost. Working across manufacturing, industrialization and supplier development for aerostructures, you assess how parts and assemblies are produced, where the technical risks sit, and what needs to change before a programme goes into production. The role sits between design, production and our supply base. You review designs for manufacturability, evaluate supplier capability and production readiness, and turn your findings into recommendations the programme can act on.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Assess manufacturing concepts, processes and industrialization strategies of our aerostructure suppliers
• Review product designs for manufacturability and producibility, and document your feedback in structured written form
• Advise on materials, processes, tolerances, tooling and assembly concepts, and support technical trade studies
• Evaluate supplier capability, production readiness, capacity and delivery risk, and develop mitigation measures
• Run root-cause investigations into manufacturing and quality issues and drive corrective actions
• Identify improvements in cost, quality and cycle time, including new manufacturing methods and automation
WHAT YOU BRING
• Hands-on expertise in manufacturing engineering and industrialization in aerospace or a comparable high-technology industry
• A strong grasp of design for manufacturability, from materials and tolerances through to tooling and assembly
• Experience assessing and developing suppliers technically, including production-readiness reviews
• Confidence with root-cause analysis and corrective action in a quality-systems environment
• The ability to turn technical assessments into clear reports, presentations and decision-support material
• A self-directed way of working - you choose your methods and drive your topics
Moreover, it would be helpful if you also:
• bring experience with production ramp-up and new product introduction
• have evaluated automation concepts or new manufacturing technologies
• are comfortable running technical workshops with suppliers on site
WHAT WEC OFFER

• Flexible working hours, remote work, and competitive compensation
• Health & wellbeing: EGYM Wellpass membership and subsidized lunch in our canteen
