Your role:
As Corporate Counsel, you will advise internal clients on digital transformation initiatives, emerging technologies, and technology-related legal regulations, including the AI Act, Data Act, Cyber Resilience Act, and other digital regulations. You will support the development and implementation of governance frameworks, policies, and processes relating to artificial intelligence, data, software, IT security, and digital innovation across the organization. Furthermore, you will advise on a broad range of legal issues relating to AI, data, intellectual property, open-source software, digital business models and emerging technologies.
You will draft, review, and negotiate complex technology and commercial agreements, including software licensing, SaaS, cloud services, digital solutions, IT projects and outsourcing arrangements. As a trusted advisor, you will support strategic digital initiatives and technology-drive business models, helping the organization identify opportunities while managing legal and compliance risks.
As a member of LE-XPERTS Enabling Functions (LE-X) in the Group Legal & Compliance (LE), you will be involved in several LE-X and LE initiatives to enhance cross-collaboration and your individual development. You will collaborate closely with colleagues across Legal, including Compliance and Data Privacy as well as Cybersecurity, Procurement, IT, Digital Office and business functions to deliver pragmatic and integrated solutions that enable innovation and sustainable business growth.
You will manage internal stakeholders as well as external partners and service providers, taking into account specific corporate governance aspects. This will require professional alignment with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders including senior management. Furthermore, you will act as a bridge between the business, the relevant Enabling Functions and our internal Legal and Compliance teams.
Who you are:
- Legal degree with a minimum of 5 years of experience working as a lawyer, preferably in an international law firm or in the legal department of a multinational company.
- Experience in technology law, IT law, artificial intelligence, digital regulation, cybersecurity, software licensing, and commercial contracting.
- Fluent in German and in English, both written and spoken.
- Comfortable working and interacting with all levels of management, including senior management.
- Combine sound legal judgment with a pragmatic, solution-oriented mindset and can balance legal risks with business objectives.
- Open, energetic, empathic, proactive and a team player.
