Junior Technical Product Owner (f/m/d) - Data (Datenbankentwickler/in)
Über diese Stelle
Your mission
Own the backbone of our data services. You don’t need to know everything – but you make sure things work, scale, and stay reliable.
As a Junior Technical Product Owner (f/m/d), turn complexity into clarity and help us build stable, scalable software.
- Translate business needs into clear, actionable technical requirements for engineering teams
- Collaborate closely with Data Engineers: refine requirements, define test cases, and continuously learn about architectures and data flows
- Keep the bigger picture in mind: guide features from initial idea through development, rollout, and ongoing operation
- Use your digital toolkit (Git, Jenkins, monitoring dashboards, etc.) to maintain visibility and control over system health
- Bring structure to complexity and help move services from “working” to “reliable at scale”
Your skills
We value the right mindset over perfect experience – bring curiosity, ownership, and a willingness to learn.
- Hold a degree in (Business) Informatics or a related field
- Bring initial experience as a Technical Product Owner / Product Manager – or demonstrate strong technical affinity and the ambition to grow into the role
- Develop a solid technical understanding: concepts like TDD, ETL, and monitoring tools (e.g. Grafana, Graylog) should not be unfamiliar
- Communicate effectively in an agile environment: understand developers, speak their language, and translate problems into clear solutions
- Work independently, take ownership, and focus on pragmatic solutions
- Communicate clearly and honestly – and don’t shy away from asking the right questions
Nice to have:
Experience working with data, exposure to microservices, or familiarity with the AdTech environment — if not, we’ll help you get there.
Why you’ll love working with us
- Ownership over tickets: You’re trusted with real responsibility, not just tasks. No unnecessary bureaucracy, no micromanagement – we rely on you to take things forward.
- Build > Talk: We test what works – not what sounds good. Fail fast, learn faster.
- High standards, low ego: We take our work seriously, but not ourselves. Direct feedback, honest collaboration, no drama.
- Stay sharp: Hackathons, conferences, community – we invest in your growth and keep you at the cutting edge.
- And yes – the fundamentals are covered too: 30 days of vacation + Dec 24 & 31 off, Smart Fridays (4 days week possible), mobility (Germany ticket & JobRad), sports & health offerings, mental health support, corporate benefits, RTL+ access, and more.
