Operational Excellence Engineer (m/f/d)
Shape the future of manufacturing at Kelvion in Herne as an Operational Excellence Engineer and drive real, measurable improvements across our operations. You will identify and implement optimization opportunities using Lean, Continuous Improvement, and Operational Excellence methods such as 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Root Cause Analysis, and Gemba Walks. This is a high‑impact role where you directly influence efficiency, costs, and sustainability in a growing, technologically advanced industrial environment.
Your Role
- Lead Operational Excellence projects independently in close cooperation with all departments, including savings identification and cost analysis.
- Integrate improvements into daily operations with a strong shopfloor focus and ensure sustainable implementation.
- Moderate workshops and cross‑functional initiatives, and train and coach employees in OPX methods and tools.
- Perform value‑stream analyses, derive action plans, and report project progress, savings, and OPX successes.
- Collaborate across sites to create synergies and foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability.

Your Background
- Degree in Engineering, Business, Production Technology, or a comparable field.
- At least 3 years of experience in Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence in an industrial environment.
- Solid knowledge of Lean tools and methods (Six Sigma a plus); strong MS Office skills and basic ERP experience.
- Experience with tools such as MS Planner, Visio, Lucidchart, or Power BI is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills in English and German, team‑oriented mindset, hands‑on attitude, and strong analytical and solution‑driven thinking.
