About the opportunity
This role is part of the Global R&D PMO and Process Improvement organization within Global R&D. You will drive the implementation, harmonization, and continuous improvement of product development and operational processes across R&D. In close collaboration with global and local stakeholders, you help identify improvement opportunities and contribute to strengthening process excellence.
You take ownership of defined projects and initiatives while ensuring alignment between global standards and site-specific operational needs at the Hilden R&D site. The role combines project management, process optimization, and operational coordination, requiring a structured mindset, strong collaboration skills, and the ability to work independently in a global environment. By delivering practical and scalable solutions, you support the R&D organization in operating efficiently and consistently across sites.
Your tasks
* Drive the creation, alignment, and continuous improvement of R&D product development documentation with cross-functional stakeholders
* Manage and support projects or workstreams related to PMO, process improvement, and operational initiatives
* Coordinate facility-related initiatives in Hilden, ensuring alignment between engineering activities and R&D operations
* Develop and maintain a roadmap for facility efficiency and improvement together with local partners
* Identify and implement improvements in lab-related operational processes across R&D teams
* Develop and deliver training materials and sessions for R&D processes and PMO methodologies
* Maintain structured project documentation, reporting, and communication in line with QIAGEN standards
Your profile
* Master’s degree in biology, chemistry, engineering, or a related field
* Initial professional experience (typically 2–5 years) in project coordination or project management
* Understanding of R&D environments, laboratory operations, or product development processes
* Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
* Strong organizational, documentation, and reporting skills
* Confident use of Microsoft Office and ability to work in global, cross-functional teams
* Fluent in English and German, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
