Job description
A vacancy has arisen in the lines of our Commodity Managers within strategic procurement, which is a vital part in the procurement and supply chain community.
Commodity Manager in Strategic Procurement (d/f/m)
You will join the Mission & Armament commodity for systems procurement for all Airbus Defence and Space AirPower platforms, which will give you a unique wide vision of the Airbus Defence and Space AirPower current and future business. You will work developing structural relationships with well established worldwide suppliers and managing complex workpackages.
This role is also available with reduced weekly hours and an adapted scope of tasks.

Your tasks and responsibilities
- Build the future Supply Chain of Combat Collaborative Aircrafts and lead national eyes only projects from the procurement side
- Establish, implement & monitor a Commodity strategy for your perimeter
- Lead the (Sub-) Commodity Multi-Functional Team
- Manage supplier relationships and supplier related development programs
- Lead negotiations with supplier to assure program expectations are meet
- Set-up, negotiate and manage contractual agreements with suppliers
Desired skills and qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience within Procurement
- Bachelor/ Master degree in Business Administration, Engineering or comparable
- Languages: German: mother tongue, English: Negotiation level
- very good skills in (international) communication
- Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to persuade, influence and convince
- Able to anticipate, assess and mitigate risks
