In order to support the department **Data Engineering in Hamburg**, Airbus Aerostructures is looking for a
**Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) Specialist (d/f/m)**
As an MBSE Specialist, you will shape a key part of our Digital Transformation. This transformation aims to fundamentally revolutionize the development of future aircraft models. As the operational lead for MBSE, you are responsible for the practical implementation and scaling of Model-Based Systems Engineering within specific flagship projects. In doing so, you align consistently with the Engineering Digital Agenda and drive the transformation process - moving from digitalization to AI-driven corporate transformation. Your focus lies on establishing robust data models to serve as a "single source of truth" and using them as a foundation to automate engineering system models.
**This role is also available with reduced weekly hours (min. 28 hours / week) and an adapted scope of tasks.**
**Your location**
You will be working at the largest production site for civil aircraft situated in Hamburg. Its location on the southern banks of the river Elbe includes the option to commute by ferry. Experience the special flair of Hamburg in your spare time where vibrant cosmopolitan culture meets nautic legacy.

**Your tasks and responsibilities**
- Guide the introduction of MBSE as a development method for complex airframe projects.
- Co-create the MBSE Framework (method, language, tools) as a platform architecture for a distributed development environment in alignment with our Digital Agenda.
- Manage the technical MBSE environment and extend it to other product development activities.
- Integrate the MBSE method into existing business processes across the value chain.
- Evaluate and advance modeling methods and tools in alignment with corporate development requirements and partners.
- Provide practical support to project teams during system analysis, requirement definition, and system architecture modeling.
- Coordinate and integrate internal/external development partners and suppliers.
- Mentor and inspire team members through MBSE training and knowledge sharing.
**Desired skills and qualifications**
- University degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience with relevant IT systems / digital twins and applications which can be linked in the frame of MBSE (e.g. CAPELLA, DOORS, CAMEO System Modeller, SYSML, UML, RCT, Web APIs).
- Solid understanding of requirements management, system modeling, system integration, V&V, configuration management, and software development (e.g. Python, C#, JavaScript).
- A passion for mastering MBSE and co-creating its successful implementation.
- High interest in MBSE standards (see following standards for your reference: ISO/IEC 15288, ISO12207, ARP 4754A).
- Experience defining and handling engineering and business processes.
- Strong teamwork, communication, organizational skills and a high capacity for abstract thinking.
- Negotiation-level proficiency in English open-mindedness regarding occasional travel.
