Requirements:

• +8 years of experience managing data center or infrastructure operations teams, including experience managing managers, line management, appraisals, performance reviews, and hiring.

• +5 years' experience in hyperscale data center operations or comparable large-scale critical infrastructure environments.

• +5 years' experience working across IT infrastructure, distributed systems, operating environments, and operational support functions.

Required Data Center experience:

• Proven leadership across the full data center operations lifecycle, including rack preparation, deployment, incident response, capacity planning, maintenance, and decommissioning.

• Strong understanding of data center infrastructure, including cabling, networking, cooling, power, UPS, generation, and white space capacity management.

• Demonstrated ability to lead process improvement and operational excellence, including familiarity with 5S or similar workplace organization and continuous improvement practices.

• Demonstrated ability to analyze complex operational processes, identify root causes, and drive sustainable improvements for customers and internal stakeholders.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and geographically distributed teams.

• Strong influencing, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills across technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to operate with high autonomy, set direction, and lead through managers in a complex operational environment.

• Open to providing after-hours leadership support as needed for urgent operational issues, escalations, and business-critical events.

• Experience supporting large enterprise or cloud customers in a demanding operational environment.

• Strong understanding of operational governance, compliance, audit readiness, safety, and site standards within data center environments.

• Demonstrated examples of data center capacity planning, resource planning, and delivery of operational targets within budget.

• Demonstrated understanding of change management, incident management, risk management, and continuous improvement in a live operations context.

Your responsibilities:

• Provide senior leadership, direction, and strategy across Oracle's Frankfurt Data Centers.

• Lead, coach, and mentor managers and individual contributors through regular 1:1s, performance check-ins, feedback, and career development guidance.

• Grow the organization by recruiting, developing, engaging, and retaining top talent.

• Audit data center spaces and operational practices to ensure compliance with 5S, safety, quality, and operational standards while identifying areas for improvement.

• Set priorities, delegate effectively through managers, and ensure resources are aligned to the highest-impact operational goals.

• Manage performance and service delivery across vendors, colocation providers, internal partners, and related support teams.

• Act as a second level escalation point for Frankfurt data center operations and liaise with internal stakeholders of snr. director level and above to remove blockers and align delivery.

• Be available on-call to provide senior leadership for urgent operational issues and emergencies as needed.

• Ensure teams meet OCI Service Level Agreements and deliver assigned goals, projects, and targets on time and within budget.

• Participate in GEO-wide and global projects, represent the Frankfurt region, and contribute to the success of related organizations and teams.
